The cptutils package contains a number of utilities for the manipulation of color gradients; mainly for translating between different formats. Formats supported include ggr (GIMP gradient), cpt (GMT color palette table), avl (Arcview Legend), the PaintShop Pro and Photoshop formats, SVG, and CSS3.

It provides fast display/overlay of data and a search engine ("When did I do this experiment under these conditions?").
PMS/PyPubSub (short for Python Message Service / Python based Publish Subscribe) is a framework for implementing a publish subscribe mechanism into a Python application. A python process somewhere in the network publishes one or more topics which consist of Python objects. Multiple processes in the network can subscribe to fresh updates of the published topics. A publisher and its subsribers are fully decoupled. The datatype of a topic can be freely defined and changed at runtime. New publishers and subscribers can easily be added at runtime.
Fieldtrip allows content experts to produce online e-case studies with limited support from computer and media specialists. Case studies include a group of events, each of which have a place (on a map) and a time (on a timeline), and can be associated with other media elements such as photos, animation, audio, and video. It is designed for students, researchers, and educators at the graduate and post-graduate level and for professionals and practitioners.
Remote Telescope System (RTS2) is an integrated system for remote observatory control. It is designed to keep an observatory running, protect it from elements, take images, ensure that pointing is good, react to TOOs, keep track of what was done, send you data, and help you to do science. It picks targets from a database table, stores image meta-data in a database, processes images, and stores WCS coordinates in the database. An abstract device layer enables control of all possible combinations of mounts, CCDs, photometers, and roof and cupola controllers.
