Freeverb3 is a signal processing library. It includes many types of audio processing effects and signal generators including a linear feedback shift register (LFSR) maximum length sequence (MLS) generator, multiple types of high quality mono+stereo reverb effects, a multi slot impulse response processor, multiband hardknee+softknee compressor and limiter, a stereo enhancer, a limiter, and many types of infinite impulse respose (IIR) and finite impulse response (FIR) filters. Also available is Freeverb3VST, a VST effects plugins package based on the Freeverb3 library.
pyPEG is a quick and easy solution for creating a parser in Python programs. pyPEG uses a PEG language in Python data structures to parse, so it can be used dynamically to parse nearly every context free language. The output is a plain Python data structure called pyAST, or, as an alternative, XML.
The cptutils package contains a number of utilities for the manipulation of color gradients; mainly for translating between different formats. Formats supported include ggr (GIMP gradient), cpt (GMT color palette table), avl (Arcview Legend), the PaintShop Pro and Photoshop formats, SVG, and CSS3.
amforth is an extendible command interpreter for the Atmel AVR ATmega microcontroller family. It has a turnkey feature for embedded use as well. It does not depend on a host application. The command language is an almost compatible ANS94 forth with extensions. It needs less than 8KB code memory for the base system. It is written in assembly language and forth itself.
queXF (pronounced kweks-eff) takes scanned paper forms generated using queXML and reads them. Operators can then verify that queXF has read the form correctly. Once this is done, the data collected can be exported in a fixed width ASCII file with a DDI data description. queXF can be used as an alternative to programs such as Cardiff Teleform and Remark OMR, in some situations. It removes the need to manually enter form data, therefore reducing error and fatigue. It does OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) on each form to determine if boxes have been filled, and can use ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) to determine what characters have been entered into boxes.

Fityk is nonlinear curve-fitting and data analysis software. It allows data visualization, separation of overlapping peaks, and least squares fitting using standard Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, a genetic algorithm, or Nelder-Mead simplex method. It knows about many functions (mostly bell-shaped, like Gaussian, Loretzian, Pearson 7, Voigt, Pseudo-Voigt, and Doniach-Sunjic) and user-defined functions can be easily added. It also enables background subtracting, data calibration, and task automation with a simple script language. It is mainly used to analyze powder diffraction patterns, chromatography, photoluminescence, infrared, and Raman spectroscopy, but it can be used to fit analytical functions to any kind of data.
