The ATLAS (Automatically Tuned Linear Algebra Software) project is an ongoing research effort focusing on applying empirical techniques in order to provide portable performance. It provides C and Fortran77 interfaces to a portably efficient BLAS implementation, as well as a few routines from LAPACK.
MathLib is a PalmOS shared library which makes a complete set of IEEE-754 double-precision math functions available to other Palm applications. These functions include all the standard routines normally accessed by including "math.h" on other systems, including trigonometry (with inverse and hyperbolic), logarithms, exponentiation, and miscellaneous helper functions.
Astro Info is an astronomical ephemeris/almanac for PalmOS. It displays some basic information useful to stargazers, such as rise, trans, and set times, coordinates, magnitude and phase information for Sun, Moon, and the other 8 planets and stars. It can display a view of the sky (with stars, the Sun, Moon, and planets positioned) at arbitrary times and locations. You can also search for objects based on their names and see where they are.
MarsClock is designed to aid engineers, astronomers, Gods of War, Hrossa, and specifically mission controllers for the upcoming NASA MER and ESA Beagle-II missions to Mars. It converts to and from Earth time (Local and UTC) and Mars time (Local Mean Solar Time and Local True Solar Time) for any location.
mapview is an application for viewing maps on Palm OS handhelds. You can scroll through a map and switch between different layers. Layers may be used for different zoom levels. mapview includes a Perl program for building maps from image files on a Unix/Linux desktop. Instructions and a Makefile for building a demo map are included.
J2ME OGC WMS Client is a program for accessing OGC Web map services from Java enabled mobile phone or PDAs. It accesses the OGC WMS according to WMS 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 specifications and supports zooming and panning in the Map, WMS sublayers, and a bookmark management system for quick access.
