ArtTk is a graphic library based on Java/Swing offering an open development toolkit intended specifically for scientific and technical applications. It provides a set of widgets and functional modules a set of support modules (helpers) permitting dynamic definition of menus and tool bars from simple XML configured files, and supporting tooltips, icons, action commands, etc.; a very adaptable generic desktop, facilitating the assembly of Swing components in a specialized GUI; an extended Grid layout to simplify the development of advanced scientific applications; and a set of scientific and technical widgets, such as a dynamic memory footprint monitor, simple key-values based fields editors, a generic color gradient editor, etc.
CanvasXpress is a JavaScript library based on the HTML5 canvas tag that provides a generic and simple way to display genomics data. It supports bar graphs, line graphs, bar-line combination graphs, box plots, dot plots, area graphs, stacked graphs, percentage-stacked graphs, correlation plots, Venn diagrams, heat maps, Newick trees, 2D-scatter plots, 2D-scatter bubble plots, 3D-scatter plots, pie charts, networks (or pathways), and a genome browser. It also supports a few data transformations like log and exponential transformation, z-score, percentile transformation, and ratio. It also supports grouping of samples, zooming, events, and more.
Cassandra is a scientific data viewer based on VTK. Cassandra provides dynamic interaction with the VTK pipeline and enables the user to load plug-ins dynamically in order to perform specific tasks in data manipulation and visualisation. Cassandra is open and modular, and can easily be extended to new filters through a set of dynamically loadable plug-ins. A plug-in template is provided to help users to develop and share their own plug-ins. This approach allows users to perform complex filtering without any specific knowledge of VTK or C++.
Fluere is a graphical software package for particle image velocimetry (PIV). Fluere is highly optimized for parallel processing and runs on multiple platforms. The goal of the project is to provide researchers and educators with high-quality velocimetry software that incorporates the latest advancements in PIV processing, while having complete knowledge of the algorithms used.
GRAL is a library for creating high quality plots and charts in Java. Many plot types are available like scatter plot, bubble plots, line plots, area plots, pie charts, and bar charts. Additionally, GRAL can exchange and process data (smoothing), and various plug-ins allow the import and export of data and graphics to formats like CSV, JPEG, PNG, EPS, PDF, or SVG.
GraphInsight is visualization software that lets you explore graph data through high quality interactive representations. Data exploration and knowledge extraction from graphs is of great interest nowadays: knowledge is disseminated in social networks, and services are powered by cloud computing platforms. Data miners deal with graphs every day. Humans are extremely good at identifying patterns and outliers. Interacting visually with your data can give you better intuition and higher confidence in what you are looking for.
Novembre is an extensible tool for analysis and visualization of topographic and spectroscopic data. It supports the RHK, WinSPM, Nanonis, and Createc file formats, but any other format can be added via plugins. Tools are also made available through plugins, and are focused on spectroscopy manipulation.
Regress Pro is scientific and industrial software that can be used to study experimental data coming from spectroscopic ellipsometers or reflectometers. The program has been developed mainly looking to the application of thin film measurement in semiconductor industry. The software is suitable both to determine the thickness of the layers and to determine the optical properties of dielectric materials.
