Ciao is a complete Prolog system subsuming ISO-Prolog with a novel modular design which allows both restricting and extending the language. Ciao extensions currently include feature terms (records), higher-order, functions, constraints, objects, persistent predicates, a good base for distributed execution (agents), and concurrency. Libraries also support WWW programming, sockets, and external interfaces (C, Java, TCL/Tk, relational databases, etc.). An Emacs-based environment, a stand-alone compiler, and a toplevel shell are also provided.
ToutDoux is a project manager for GNOME. The approach of data manipulation is abstract (database free). It's extensible with plugins. Most tasks are and will be subcontracted with commandline frontends. The file format is XML (including a schema, plugins parameters, and datatables).
SIMPLE_1 (SIMulation Program for Logistics Engin'g) is a discrete/continuous network-oriented simulation language with general-purpose programming language features. The Linux version of this software includes a project management system to automate integration of user-developed C/C++ code into SIMPLE_1 network models. A user's C/C++ code is interfaced with the SIMPLE_1 modeling language through information embedded in comments in the user's header file(s). SIMPLE_1 produces executable files with the help of the C++ compiler.
FreeMED is a Web-based medical records (EMR) and patient management system with a printing system, patient scheduling, an HL7 interface, a billing system, XML-RPC Web services, and many other features. It has an extensible modular architecture, allowing it to be customized based on individual practices without having to rewrite core components of the system. It is HIPAA compliant.
Copper is a Web-based project management software tool designed to help creative teams manage clients, projects, tasks, files, budgets, and events. It has an HTML/AJAX front end. ReadySET is a project to produce and maintain a library of reusable software engineering document templates. These templates provide a ready starting point for the documents used in software development projects. Using good templates can help developers work more quickly, and they help prompt discussion and avoid oversights. Key features include: high-quality outlines, sample text, and checklists, use of simple Web technologies (pure XHTML and CSS), and templates for many common software engineering documents.
Antipodes.Cubes is a BPM system for visual modeling and automation of processes. Processes are designed visually as block diagrams in a graphical environment called WfArchitect. The logic and flow of the processes are reflected in the different containers (blocks or shapes) and the connections between them. It supports task, condition, user decision, code, timer, and scheduler containersm and allows for the inclusion of subprocesses in processes and also recursive use of subprocesses.
