Scandalo is a very efficient and fast mail frontend for the clamdscan virus scanner. In other words, it is a simple mail filter that works as a wrapper for clamd, the famous Clamav antivirus daemon. Once integrated in maildrop or any MTA or MUA, it can quickly read messages and send them to the clamd process for virus scanning using the clamdscan utility. When a virus is found, the message is marked with a header, so you can easily set up your mail filter or MUA to drop, quarantine, or move the infected message to a mail folder.
geoipgen is an IP network tool for generating geotargeted lists of IP addresses using MaxMind's GeoLite Country database. It can randomly enumerate all IP addresses or a specified number of IP addresses in a particular country or a list of countries. For example, to get all IPs for Japan in a random order, use "geoipgen jp". For a sample of 10,000 IPs from Australia and New Zealand, use "geoipgen -n 10000 au nz".
DynaBlast is a fast Apache HTTPD access_log scanner. It can find hosts that exceed a given number of hits in a given time period, printing them to standard output. It has a "fast mode" that can skip lines that have already been parsed. Multiple dynablast instances are avoided by using a lock file. This make it suitable for crontab usage. It can be run by any user, not just root. It can run in parallel, for example, when analyzing different access_log files. It keeps memory consumption down to about 10 kb, by parsing the access_log file one line at a time.
skipfish is a high-performance, easy, and sophisticated Web application security testing tool. It features a single-threaded multiplexing HTTP stack, heuristic detection of obscure Web frameworks, and advanced, differential security checks capable of detecting blind injection vulnerabilities, stored XSS, and so forth.
MALODOS helps you to scan, store, and easily retrieve all your personal documents. Its storage format is open and documented, so your document archive can remain accessible even without MALODOS. The documents themselves are stored as standard PDF files, while their metadata (such as title, tags, and description) are stored into a separate SQLite database in an open format. With MALODOS, you can also manage existing files in PDF, JPEG, TIFF, and other formats, so you can still use the documents that you've already scanned. You can connect to any external OCR program to give access to a fulltext search feature.
HomeGed Scan is scanning software that was designed to offer power as well as simplicity of use. Acquired or imported files can be combined into multi-page documents and saved in formats such as PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and PNG. It supports network scanners using TWAIN or SANE protocols and flat-beds and document feeders.
Ip phone Scanning Made Easy (ISME) scans a VOIP environment, adapts to enterprise VOIP, and exploits the possibilities of being connected directly to an IP Phone VLAN. It seeks to get the phone's configuration file directly from a TFTP server, enable SIP/SIPS (TCP/UDP), communicate with an embedded Web server and Web server banner, identify the editor by MAC address, and identify potential default login/password combinations which should be changed.
