Control applications created with the OpenAPC editor's visual interface can perform several tasks dependent on how the application is configured and used. Storozh is software for collecting and processing telemetry information from remote devices, dispatching events, and generating controlling impacts according to the system state (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition). Application areas include management of automated equipment, emergency alarm systems, and security systems. Chief Database records time series data in real time. Data is compressed to reduce disk requirements and improve performance. Redo logging and caching provide high performance on minimal hardware, with minimal data loss in the event of hardware failure. 1 million coordinates can be processed per second on server-level hardware. All interfaces are SOAP; allowing for easy integration with other systems and Web sites. Data is usually from a telemetered resource, but can also come from SNMP. Chief Trends allows for trending data inside Firefox. Chief Calculator is a Perl calculation engine to manipulate the data in whatever way you want.

MoCo is a system that monitors and controls SCADA points, such as temperature, HVAC, power, lighting, sprinkler systems, and more. It has industrial capabilities, but is scalable from very small home systems to enterprise, world-wide ones.
