Ailurus is an application which tells its users about tricks for enhancing their use of Ubuntu Linux. It puts tricks in tool-tip text and a "Tip of the day" window. It also displays information about the system's BIOS, motherboard, CPU, and battery. It has an interface for changing some GNOME settings. It can install and remove some applications which are not provided in the official Ubuntu apt repository. It can detect the speed of apt mirrors and find the fastest one. It can enable and disable some third party repositories.
The Crow Designer is a visual editor for building graphical user interfaces. Interfaces are saved in files of the GuiXml format and may be involved in applications by means of the GuiLoader library. During editing, the following instruments are available to a user: a palette of GUI controls, an object tree, an editor canvas, and a hierarchical property explorer. The property explorer allows you to work with nested objects and arrays as well as with several selected objects simultaneously. The designer uses widgets of the GTK+ library as a GUI control kit.
FVWM-Crystal aims to create an easy to use, pretty, but also powerful desktop environment for Linux or other Unix-like operating systems. It uses the following programs: FVWM as a window manager and "main core"; different ways to provide icons on the desktop including support for many file managers and custom commands; xterm, aterm, mrxvt, or urxvt as terminal emulators; MPD or XMMS2 as music players (there's built-in support for controlling these programs), and several other tools for different functions, like setting a wallpaper or taking screenshots.
GRAVEMAN is a GUI frontend for CD-R tools (cdrecord, readcd, and mkisofs), cdrdao, DVD+RW tools (growisofs and dvd+rw-format), and sox. It allows you to burn audio CDs (from WAV, Ogg, MP3, or FLAC files) and data CDs or DVDs, and allows you to duplicate CDs. You can also import M3U and PTS playlists.
