NorfelloCMMS OS is a powerful CMMS application. It enables organizations to easily manage labor, equipment, and service requests via a Web-based interface. This leads to increased efficiency of labor usage and reduced time spent on maintenance tasks. It is targeted at any organization that handles maintenance tasks or has equipment to track. From maintenance management of heavy industry to management of computer network equipment, it can be customized to meet the requirements of various different domains.
Noosfero is a Web platform for social networks. Besides the regular social network features (such as friends and communities), Noosfero offers a full-featured CMS, making every user or community profile a complete Web site with several types of content (including text, image gallery, and file uploads), RSS feeds, agenda, the possibility to set custom themes, and other features. It is also possible to run several independent social networks within the same Noosfero installation.
The PLEAC project aims to re-implement the solutions presented in the Perl Cookbook (by Tom Christiansen & Nathan Torkington, published by O'Reilly) in other programming languages. If successful, this project may become a primary resource for quick, handy, free solutions to most common programming problems using higher-level programming languages. It could also be useful for comparison on ease-of-use and power/efficiency of these languages.
Mooix is a multiuser object-oriented dimension (a MOO) layered over top of your favorite Unix system. To the user, mooix looks much like any other MOO. To the programmer, mooix objects look like directories full of files: executable methods, properties, and links to other objects. MOOs have historically had poor support for such things as real programming languages, encrypted logins, multitasking, and editors. Mooix inherits all of these things from the Unix system it is based on. At the same time, it's not wedded too tightly to Unix (e.g., it implements its own permissions system that is much more suited to a MOO environment than the historical Unix system).
Guis widget server is a Gtk2 widget server. It listens on pipes for widget requests (in the Python or Ruby (or Slang, etc.) scripting languages), and emit replies or events in textual lines (e.g. Lispy, XML or plain token syntax). It is useful for programs (in particular setuid programs) and scripts that don't or can't link the Gtk2 libraries and need to delegate the user interface to another process.
