HLA Adventure is an adventure game that was written in Randy Hyde's HLA language. It features Mippy, a cute dragon that lives happily in the forests and caves and often comes out during the later part of the day to eat leaves, smoulder decaying trees, and generally romp around like every good dragon should.
roll is a command-line program that rolls a user-defined dice sequence and displays the result. The die are defined using dN, where N is the number of sides. They can be rolled multiple times by prepending the number of repetitions (e.g., 3d6) and used in simple mathematical expressions (e.g., 2d8+4).
KildClient is a MUD client written with the GTK+ windowing toolkit. It supports many common features of other clients, such as triggers, gags, aliases, macros, timers, and much more. But its main feature is the built-in Perl interpreter. At any moment, the user can execute Perl statements and functions to do things much more powerful than simply sending text the the MUD. Perl statements can also be run, for example, as the action of a trigger, allowing you to do complex things.
Deliantra is a client for Deliantra game servers. It offers an intuitive user interface for exploring the vast game world, a persistent minimap, powerful macros and keymaps, dialog-based NPC interaction, and easy configuration for the skill, spell, and item system. It is based on Perl, SDL, and OpenGL for high performance on modern systems, and works on both Unix and Windows. Ports to other platforms should be very easy and are underway.
GNU FreeDink is a portable and enhanced version of the Dink Smallwood game engine. It aims at running the original game as well as its D-Mods (Dink MODules, or add-ons), with close compatibility, under new platforms. The internals of the engines are being cleaned up to allow for portability and later improvements.
Babelize is a collection of localizations for Linux games. It currently features French, German, Polish, and Spanish translations for "Heroes of Might and Magic III", as well as French, German, and Spanish translations for "Alpha Centauri - Alien Crossfire". The goal of the project is to provide localizations for as many native Linux games as possible.
