The SWORD Project is an effort to create an ever expanding software package for research and study of God and His Word. Libraries are developed in ANSI-draft standard C++ and currently compile on Linux and in WIN32 environments. Frontends complete and currently under development include commandline tools, gtk, wxGTK, Qt, Gtk--, and WIN32 C++Builder). Addon modules include Bible texts, commentaries, lexicons, and dictionaries in a variety of languages.
The Religious Agenda is a multi-translation Bible reader app for the Agenda VR3 PDA. Useful features include single to multiple concurrent translations of the Bible, a text search facility, and bookmarks. Available translations include World Edition, Bible in Basic English, American Standard, Darby, King James, Douay-Rhiems, and the Apocrypha.
Kio-Sword provides access to Bibles, commentaries, and other texts from within the Konqueror Web browser. It does so by using the SWORD Bible project and implementing a KDE ioslave that provides a sword:/ protocol. Among other things it features hyperlinked cross references, searching, and easy customization.
qSong is a song database program with multimedia features for worship musicians and other people working with music. It allows you to store and manage all song-related information, such as chords, lyrics, authors, and copyright. It can create songbooks in popular formats such as PDF, HTML, and ChordPro. All items in the database can be searched and sorted.
