Rpmrestore allows the user to show the differences (user, group, mode, mtime, size) between a package's status on install and its current status. This act as an improvement of the functionality provided by the "rpm -V" command. It also allows the user to restore the attributes to their original state (install state). It features a batch mode, an interactive mode, a logfile, and rollback.
osarchiver (Operating System Archiver) creates CD/DVD backup images, useful for operating system disaster recovery. It features compact size, utilization of already-present operating system functionality, multiple Red Hat version compatibility, multi-volume capability, parallel compression, and hardware flexibility.
PXE Knife is a tool for booting various floppy based utilities via syslinux, allowing them to be booted off a CD, a hard drive, or over the network via PXE. PXE Knife can be used with a number of commonly used tools such as hard drive manufacturer's utilities, memory testers, Linux recovery disks, Windows password changers, pre-configured PXE Knoppix booters (just add DVD), and a number of other utilities. It takes advantage of syslinux's menu system, so it's easy to navigate.

It was designed to be easy to set up, requires no maintenance, and is there to assist when disaster strikes. Recovering from disaster is made very straight-forward by a 2-step recovery process so that it can be executed by operational teams when required. When used interactively (e.g. when used for migrating systems), menus help make decisions to restore to a new (hardware) environment.
giis (gET iT i sAY) is a file recovery tool for Ext2/Ext3 filesystems. Once installed, current files and newly created files can be recovered. It allows users to recover all deleted files, recover files owned by a specific user, dump data from old file locations, and recover files of a specific type, such as text or PNG. A forensic analyzer is also provided to assist users during recovery.
