The SAGA GIS API supports grid data like digital terrain models and satellite images, vector data, and tables. This API makes it easy to implement new algorithms and exempts the developer from hassle programming overhead like user-interface design or file I/O. SAGA GIS comes with a large collection of modules, in areas of terrain-analysis, geo-statistics, image processing, and process simulation.
Yoltia is a computer program for editing image files. It provides the functionality to do simple changes to a large number of pictures quickly and very comfortably and exactly. It can rotate pictures with 0.5 degree accuracy, manipulate the RGB and HSV values, and perform inverting, mirroring, resizing, cutting, stretching, and color depth conversion with different dithers. symTone is a dual cursor image manipulation program that allows users to easily and intuitively edit their digital photos using two mice and two cursors. symTone requires that the user plug in two extra three-button USB mice (in addition to their laptop touchpad or their desktop mouse). Mice with a scroll wheel as the middle mouse button will work fine. Only the PNG file format is currently supported.

Instant Picture Creator is a wrapper to produce images on demand for Web sites. It has filter management, and it's possible to add new filters. It can cache filtered images, works independently (no backend is needed), and is easy to integrate with existing Web sites. It includes two basic filters for resizing images and manipulating colour palettes. Currently it supports PNG, GIF, and JPEG.
