moneyGuru is a personal finance management application. It allows you to evaluate your financial situation so that you can make informed (and thus better) decisions. Most finance applications have the same goal, but moneyGuru's difference is in the way it achieves it. Rather than having reports which you have to configure (or find out which pre-configured report is the right one), your important financial data (net worth, profit) is constantly up-to-date and "in your face". This allows you to constantly make informed decision rather than doing so periodically.
TAO Translator (formerly, The Advanced Online Translator) uses online translation services to provide translations. Currently supported services: Google Translate (supports translation, language detection, dictionary, and reverse translations for single words); Microsoft Translator, a.k.a. Bing Translator (supports translation only); Yandex.Translate (supports translation and language detection); and Yandex.Dictionaries (supports dictionary with synonyms and reverse translations). More services are possible in the future.
Moonlight|3D is a modeling and animation tool for three-dimensional art. It currently supports mesh-based modeling. It's a redesign of Moonlight Atelier, formed after Moonlight Atelier/Creator died in 1999/2000. Rendering is done through pluggable backends. It currently supports Sunflow, with support for RenderMan and others in planning.
Weboob is a project that provides several applications (console or graphical) to interact with a lot of Web sites. There are more than 90 supported Web sites and 20 applications to view bank accounts, get bills, drag on dating Web sites, search and play videos, display the weather, read news, show train timelines, search torrents, interact with bug trackers, edit a wiki, listen to radio, view and download image galleries, look for a new home, and perform other useful tasks.
Kpl is a KDE program for two- and three-dimensional graphical presentation of data sets and functions (plotter). Multidimensional nonlinear parameter fits of functions to data sets can be performed using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. General linear least square parameter fits are also possible. A D-BUS interface can be used to control Kpl by other applications and scripts.
