Berkeley DB (libdb) is a programmatic toolkit that provides embedded database support for both traditional and client/server applications. It includes b+tree, queue, extended linear hashing, fixed, and variable-length record access methods, transactions, locking, logging, shared memory caching, database recovery, and replication for highly available systems. DB supports C, C++, C#, Java, PHP, and Perl APIs. It supports key-value pair (NoSQL), SQL, and Java Object formatted data. It is available for a wide variety of Unix platforms as well as QNX, Android, Mac OS X, and several varieties of Windows.

GCompris is an educational software suite with numerous activities for children aged 2 to 10. Some of the activities are game-orientated, but nonetheless still educational. These include computer discovery (keyboard, mouse, different mouse gestures), algebra (table memory, enumeration, double entry table, mirror image), science (the canal lock, the water cycle, the submarine, electric simulation), geography (place the country on the map), games (chess, memory, connect 4, oware, sudoku), reading practice, and others (learn to tell time, puzzles of famous paintings, vector drawing, cartoon making, etc.). It currently offers in excess of 100 activities, and more are being developed.

httpMonitor is a Python program which lets you monitor the HTTP traffic between a browser and a Web server. You configure your browser to use httpMonitor as its proxy to ensure that all HTTP traffic between browser and server goes via httpMonitor. In a XML-configuration file you can specify a Python-function as processor for the HTTP-messages you are interested in (requests or responses, which match certain criteria). You may have as many processors as you want, without modifying the actual program. The only thing you need to do is configure the httpMonitor and write your processors.

The Easysoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge allows applications on one machine to access ODBC data sources on another. It supports multiple concurrent connections from multiple clients to multiple target databases. The principle application is to enable access from Linux and Unix platforms to remote ODBC databases. For example, Apache/PHP programs on Linux can read/write data held on MS SQL Server on Windows, and Perl programs can read/write data held in a MS Access database. Moosic is a music player that focuses on easy playlist management. It consists of a server process that maintains a queue of music files to play and a client program which sends commands to the server. The server continually runs through its playlist, popping items off the top of the list and playing each with an external program. The client is a simple command-line utility which allows you to perform powerful operations upon the server's queue, including the addition of whole directory trees, automatic shuffling, and item removal according to regular expressions. The server comes configured to play MP3, Ogg, MIDI, MOD, and WAV files.
