GraphicsMagick is a robust collection of tools and libraries which support reading, writing, and manipulating an image in over 90 major formats including popular formats like DPX, DICOM, BMP, GIF, JPEG, JPEG-2000, PDF, PNG, PNM, SVG, and TIFF. A high-quality 2D renderer is included, which provides a subset of SVG capabilities. C, C++, Perl, Tcl, and Ruby are supported. Originally based on ImageMagick, GraphicsMagick focuses on performance, minimizing bugs, and providing stable APIs and ABIs. It runs on all modern variants of Unix, Windows, and Mac OS X.
Ecasound is a software package designed for multitrack audio processing. It can be used for simple tasks like audio playback, recording, and format conversions, as well as for multitrack effect processing, mixing, recording and signal recycling. It supports a wide range of audio inputs, outputs, and effect algorithms. Effects and audio objects can be combined in various ways, and their parameters can be controlled by operator objects like oscillators and MIDI-CCs. A versatile console-mode user interface is included in the package.
GRASS (the Geographic Resources Analysis Support System) is a software raster- and vector-based GIS (Geographic Information System), image processing system, graphics production system, and spatial modeling system. It contains many modules for raster data manipulation, vector data manipulation, rendering images on the monitor or paper, multispectral image geocoding and processing, point data management and general data management. It also has tools for interfacing with digitizers, scanners, and the PostgreSQL, DBF, and ODBC connected databases. GRASS operates on all common operating systems.
GTKRawGallery is a workflow-oriented photo retouching program with the necessary tools to quickly process camera raw images. It brings together Dcraw, Imagemagick, and Exiftool. Important features include an image browser and manager for popular formats, a full-featured Dcraw GUI for fine-tuned raw image pre-processing, image modification tools for 16-bit/channel post-processing, batch conversion with single workflow applicable, a batch processor to speed up the workflow, fast tagging, an advanced metadata editor with EXIF, IPTC, and XMP write support, color management, and print support, Facebook, Flickr, and Picasa Web Albums publishers, and a Dropbox uploader.
K-3D is a 3D modeling, animation, and rendering system for GNU/Linux & Win32. Features include creation and editing of geometry in multiple realtime OpenGL solid, shaded, and texture-mapped views; unlimited undos and redos; complete extensibility at runtime through third-party plugins; animated procedural geometric effects; all parameters animatable through a consistent control-spline based interface; rendering pipeline to Renderman Interface compliant rendering engines; optimization for use with the Aqsis rendering engine, which features solid modelling, true displacement, and user programmable shaders; and support for background and batch rendering.
Syntext Serna is a highly customizable, multi-platform, pure XSL-driven WYSIWYG XML content editor. It looks and works like a conventional word processor, yet it gives you much more flexibility to alter or reuse content while keeping its integrity intact. It lets you collaborate on compound documents that contain embedded data from various sources. Content is viewed as an integrated whole that is intuitively transparent to authors.
