Univention Corporate Client (UCC) is a flexible and efficiently manageable operating system for PCs, notebooks, and thin clients in companies and institutions. The software contains a Linux-based desktop environment optimised for business use. It allows desktops to be adapted to hardware and intended application. In addition, it can be managed conveniently and efficiently via a Web-based console. In comparison to other systems, it guarantees integrated administration procedures for users, clients, desktops, and permissions and effectively does away with the use of different, uncoordinated tools. It serves as a platform for access to remote desktop solutions and virtualized desktops as well as browser or terminal server-based applications.
UCS is a reliable, pre-configured Linux server operating system featuring: Active Directory-like domain services compatible with Microsoft Active Directory; a mature and easy-to-use Web-based management system for user, rights, and infrastructure management; a scalable underlying concept suited for single server scenarios as well as to run and manage thousands of clients and servers for thousands of users within one single UCS domain; an app center providing single-click installation and integration of many business applications from 3rd parties and Univention; management capabilities to manage Linux- and UNIX-based clients; and command line, scripting interfaces, and APIs for automatization and extension. Its purpose is to provide Microsoft Server-like services on the cloud or on the premises, to run and operate corporate IT environments with Windows- and Linux-based clients, and to extend those environments with proven enterprise software.

It is aimed at a new generation of database applications - real-time feeds, sensor-driven data streams, micro-transactions, low-latency trading systems - requiring database throughput that can reach millions of operations per second. What’s more, the applications that use this data must scale on demand, provide flawless fault tolerance, and enable real-time visibility into the data that drives business value. It includes client application drivers for applications written in Java, C++, C#, PHP, and Python. VoltDB community members have also authored client libraries for Erlang, Ruby and Node.js. There are streaming export capabilities for leading analytic database environments, including Apache Hadoop.
nnmon is a central database and a Web interface for the nmon program's data. It allows you to store and view nmon data instantly. nnmon_sender.pl is a pure Perl script. It runs the external nmon program and opens its output file for reading. Every line read from the file is sent to the nnmon_server.py program via TCP/IP socket. nnmon_server.py reads incoming data, parses it, and inserts the result to the database. nnmonweb is a PHP script that lets you view monitored systems in a tree. If there is data for a system for the last 12 hours, it will show a chart on the right hand side. The database and server components have been tested on RHEL 5.5. The client parts have also been tested on AIX 6.1 and RHEL 5.5.
