Speedpad is a small and portable ncurses-powered tool to test, train, and increase typing speed on arbitrary text input. It is designed for intermediate-to-advanced level typists and assumes that you have already learned how to touch type. It does not use lessons, single words, or other synthetic stuff. It supports tab expansion, auto indentation, and syntax to train on code. It features a reference speed robot and supports CPS, CPM, WPM, PPM, and CPH/KPH metrics. It shows detailed statistics about speed and helps find and eliminate frequent typos. Stats are dumped to standard output in a machine-readable format after completion, and can be piped into gnuplot.
TIXI is a fast and simple XML interface library for applications written in C, C++, Fortran, Java, and Python. Although simplified and somewhat restricted compared to a fully-fledged XML processing library, it can create documents, create and delete nodes, and add and remove element attributes. Routines for reading and writing text nodes and nodes holding integer and floating point numbers are included, along with routines that process aggregates of these simple types for the processing of geometric data, multidimensional arrays, or arrays of vectors.
PyMQI is a Python library for working with WebSphere MQ (formerly known as MQSeries) implementing MQI and PCF protocols. It allows one to connect to queues, put, browse, get messages, and to programmatically administer MQ objects. PyMQI has been used in production environments for several years and is known to work on Linux, Windows, Solaris, AIX, and HP-UX with queue managers running on Linux, Windows, Solarix, AIX, HP-UX, and z/OS mainframe.
Opticks Extras is a set of official extensions for the Opticks application. The Spectral Processing extension adds multi-spectral and hyper-spectral processing capability to Opticks. The IDL Scripting extension integrates an IDL interpreter directly into the Opticks application. The Python Scripting Extension integrates a Python interpreter directly into the Opticks application.
Charm++ is a portable adaptive runtime system for parallel applications. Application developers create an object-based decomposition of the problem of interest, and the runtime system manages issues of communication, mapping, load balancing, fault tolerance, and more. Sequential code implementing the methods of these parallel objects is written in C++. Calls to libraries in C++, C, and Fortran are common and straightforward. Charm++ is portable across individual workstations, clusters, accelerators (Cell SPEs and GPUs), and supercomputers such as those sold by IBM (Blue Gene, POWER) and Cray (XT3/4/5/6). Applications based on Charm++ are used on at least 5 of the 20 most powerful computers in the world.
Response is a set of tools to handle automatic email responses, also called "Out of Office", "Vacation", or "Autoreply" messages. Response tries hard to do that the correct way, i.e. not responding to messages that should not be responded to. All of the validation code can be easily modified to suite your needs, but the project tries hard to ship sane defaults. It is designed for many virtual users and multiple mail servers, but works just fine for small deployments. Configuration and response state is stored in an RDBMS.
