SpoonRPC is a library providing a distributed message passing system in Python. It attempts to be as simple to use as possible with little boilerplate code. It provides safe, efficient object serialization (not using pickle) and message routing. RPC is not (currently) implemented, despite the name.
pyHTTPConn is a Python module that builds upon httplib with the goal of being wrapped up in a unit test framework to allow the testing of Web applications. However, it functions just fine outside of a unit test framework and allows developers to quickly write scripts that can, for instance, login to a Web site and gather interesting information.
optparse_gui is a drop-in replacement for Python's built-in optparse. It allows the user to enter command line arguments in a dynamically generated WX-based dialog. optparse_gui generates the dialog depending on the provided optparse options: CheckBox for boolean options, ComboBox for "choice" options, TextCtrl for all other options, and an extra TextCtrl for entering non-option command line arguments. Also, the dialog contains context-sensitive help for every option.
