Webwidgets is a framework for writing Web applications as if they were desktop applications. It employs the same programming paradigm as GTK, Qt, etc. with a tree of widgets with callbacks for events such as a button press. It encapsulates page loads, session data, form handling, etc. into widgets with their own state. Webwidgets is focused on code reuse, rapid prototyping, and separation between graphic design, interaction design, and application logic. It is implemented in Python and uses the Webware application server framework.
Schnolgo is a musical composition system. It has a number of unique features, including a way of handling polyrhythmic timing which provides a flexibility one cannot easily achieve with traditional sequencing programs or sound programming environments. Currently, Schnolgo is in the form of a Python package, and its main output format for compositions written in it is MIDI.
pacparser is a library to parse proxy auto-config (PAC) files. Proxy auto-config files are a vastly used proxy configuration method these days. Web browsers can use a PAC file to determine which proxy server to use or whether to go direct for a given URL. The idea behind pacparser is to make it easy to add PAC file parsing capability to any program (C and Python are supported right now). It comes as a shared C library and a Python module that can be used to make any C or Python program PAC scripts intelligent. Micropolis is a city simulation game engine based on the original classic SimCity source code. Micropolis is based on the Tcl/Tk version of SimCity. It consists of the micropolis module, which is the engine recast as a C++ class; the cellengine module, which is a cellular automata machine engine; and the tileengine module, which is a Cairo based tile renderer. It is intended to be used with the OLPC's Sugar user interface environment, but layered so the core code is useful in other contexts.
PMS/PyPubSub (short for Python Message Service / Python based Publish Subscribe) is a framework for implementing a publish subscribe mechanism into a Python application. A python process somewhere in the network publishes one or more topics which consist of Python objects. Multiple processes in the network can subscribe to fresh updates of the published topics. A publisher and its subsribers are fully decoupled. The datatype of a topic can be freely defined and changed at runtime. New publishers and subscribers can easily be added at runtime.

Mrs is a lightweight but high performance implementation of the MapReduce programming model for parallel computation. It is optimized for computationally intensive programs, especially those which are iterative, though it is applicable to a wide range of applications. It is intended to be simple to install and use. It is written in Python, supports both Python 2 and Python 3, and has no dependencies outside the standard library. The name "Mrs" derives from the practice of referring to MapReduce programs by the title "mister" (e.g., "Mr. Wordcount").
