Langer is an object oriented, rule based programming language. Its interpreter is shipped as a Python library. It was created to express behavior strategies, has a simple syntax based on languages like Python and C, and was designed to be convenient and readable for a programmer, but it can be easily used in genetic programming as well.
pacparser is a library to parse proxy auto-config (PAC) files. Proxy auto-config files are a vastly used proxy configuration method these days. Web browsers can use a PAC file to determine which proxy server to use or whether to go direct for a given URL. The idea behind pacparser is to make it easy to add PAC file parsing capability to any program (C and Python are supported right now). It comes as a shared C library and a Python module that can be used to make any C or Python program PAC scripts intelligent. Some very useful targets could be popular Web software like wget, curl, and python-urllib.
bitstring is a Python module that helps to make the creation and analysis of binary data as simple and natural as possible. Objects can be constructed from integers (big and little endian), floats, hex, octal, binary, byte data, iterables, or files. They can be sliced, joined, reversed, packed, unpacked, inserted into, overwritten, and otherwise operated upon with simple functions or slice notation. They can also be parsed, searched, and navigated in, similar to a file or stream. Internally the data is efficiently stored as byte arrays. It is available for Python 2.6 and later (including Python 3).
Mrs is a lightweight but high performance implementation of the MapReduce programming model for parallel computation. It is optimized for computationally intensive programs, especially those which are iterative, though it is applicable to a wide range of applications. It is intended to be simple to install and use. It is written in Python, supports both Python 2 and Python 3, and has no dependencies outside the standard library. The name "Mrs" derives from the practice of referring to MapReduce programs by the title "mister" (e.g., "Mr. Wordcount").

It is a highly adaptable toolkit that allows developers to easily add advanced indexing and search facilities to their own applications. It supports the Probabilistic Information Retrieval model and also a rich set of boolean query operators. Omega is a Web search application built upon the Xapian library. It can index a Web server's document tree (including HTML, PDF, OpenOffice, MS Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Works, WordPerfect, RTF, PS, etc.), or data exported from arbitrary sources (e.g. SQL databases).
PyBison is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use parser creation toolkit for Python that interfaces directly to Bison (yacc)-based parsers. It provides full LALR(1) grammar support, allowing for simple parsing tasks through to writing compilers for high-level languages. Parser code is automatically generated from rules within user-created Parser classes (written in Python), and then, compiled, yacc'ed and linked into a shared library, which is loaded into the running process. All this happens automatically. When the parser runs, it connects directly with the yyparse() routine, and takes event callbacks upon parse targets being reached.
