Virtual Ideal Functionality Framework is a framework for creating efficient and secure multi-party computations (SMPC). Players, who do not trust each other, participate in a joint computation based on their private inputs. The computation is done using a cryptographic protocol which allows them to obtain a correct answer without revealing their inputs. Operations supported include addition, multiplication, and comparison, all with Shamir secret shared outputs.
PyKCS11 is a PKCS#11 wrapper for Python. It lets you access almost all PKCS#11 functions and data types using any PKCS#11 library, such as the various modules supplied by smartcard vendors. It comes with two interfaces: a low level and very thin interface over the original PKCS#11 API, generated using the SWIG compiler (designed for library tests), and a high level interface that offers simpler access (with few limits) to the PKCS#11 APIs.
mxCrypto is an extension package that provides OO-style access to the cipher algorithms and hash functions included in OpenSSL/SSLeay, a very nifty cryptographic library originally written by Eric Young and now maintained by the OpenSSL team. Its main purpose is filling in the missing parts in Andrew Kuchling's pycrypt export package with high quality implementations. Due to the ITAR export restrictions on cryptographic software, Andrew's implementations are not legally downloadable from outside the US.
