gjots lets you organize text notes in a convenient, hierarchical way. It can be used for notes, jottings, bits and pieces, recipes, and even PINs and passwords, using encryption. It can also be used to "mind-map" larger compositions like manuals, Web pages, articles, etc. It is a bit like the KDE program "kjots", but uses the GTK library and supports a hierarchy of folders. Files can be output to HTML with an automatic table of contents or to docbook XML. Encryption is supported with ccrypt(1), gpg(1), and openssl(1), so that musings can be kept private.

CaptureMock provides capture-replay mocking for Python, on the command line and with client-server communication. CaptureMock's approach is a so-called capture-replay approach. This means that when you 'record' your mock, CaptureMock will observe the interaction between your code and the subsystem you are mocking out, and record it in a text file in its own format. When you then run your test in 'replay mode', CaptureMock can play the role of the subsystem in question, and the real subsystem does not need to even be installed. You can then choose, each time you run your tests, whether you wish to have the real subsystems present and verify/recreate the captured mocks, or to rely on the mocks captured by a previous run. If you are running in 'replay mode' and CaptureMock does not receive the same calls as previously, it will fail the test, and suggest that you may want to recreate the mocks in record mode.

Skyperious is a Skype database viewer and merger. It can open local Skype SQLite databases and look at their contents, search across all messages and contacts, browse, filter, and export chat histories, see chat statistics, import contacts from a CSV file to your Skype contacts, view any database table and export its data, change, add, or delete data in any table, and execute direct SQL queries. It can also compare two Skype databases, show the differences in chats and contacts, and copy any spotted differences from one database to another. Skype uses local database files to keep its chat history, and older messages tend to get lost as computers get upgraded or changed.

jmx4py offers a client API for Python similar to the existing Jolokia clients for Perl (jmx4perl), Java, and Javascript. Jolokia is a JMX-HTTP bridge giving an alternative to JSR-160 connectors. It is an agent-based approach with support for many platforms. In addition to basic JMX operations, it enhances JMX remoting with unique features like bulk requests or fine grained security policies. jmx4py builds upon the basic API and offers further features related to monitoring and controlling JVMs via JMX using Python.

pyBit uses AMQP to create a distributed, cross-platform buildd toolkit to build packages using a collection of buildds, direct from various VCS clients. It is intended to support rapidly evolving software collections, and can support multiple VCS frontends and multiple build backends. Cross building is expected to be supported for some backends. The initial backend uses dpkg for Debian. pyBit includes support for cancelling selected builds and using multiple buildd clients per architecture, per platform, and per suite.
