Ascal is a Gnome version of the board game Lasca (or Laska). Lasca is a game similar to Draughts, but with some enhancements. You can refer to the description in the help system of Ascal, or on Wikipedia. Ascal is for one or two players. You can undo moves, save and load games, etc.
sudoku.pl that offers a simple alphanumeric board display that supports the 9x9 matrix. It can generate a sudoku puzzle, but manual input by the user is also possible to use a sudoku from a newspaper, the Internet etc. It assists the user in solving the sudoku by providing some functions, up to and including solving the sudoku from the current board-setting. If the option -d is set, all solutions are found and logged, up to a maximum of 10. This option enables the program to test a given sudoku for having one solution only, which is a generally preferred sudoku property. Also included is a sudoku generator that supplies the single solution type sudokus.
CSudoku is a command line Sudoku solving program. It solves the popular 9x9 versions of Sudoku using Donald Knuth's Dancing Links algorithm. It was created as a fun exercise in computer programming and not necessarily to be a program useful to anyone in particular. There are many other Sudoku solving programs that are more refined and have many more features than this program would ever dream of having.
