jHepWork (jWork) is an environment for scientific computation, data analysis, and data visualization for scientists, engineers, and students. The program is fully multi-platform (written in Java). Programs can be written in the Java, Jython/Python, and BeanShell scripting languages. Matlab/Octave is supported for symbolic calculations. The program can be used to display data and functions in D and 3D. It comes with a friendly IDE and a code assist.
Platform Independent Petri Net Editor (PIPE) creates and analyses Petri Nets quickly, efficiently, and effectively. A key design feature is the modular approach adopted for analysis, enabling new modules to be written easily and powerfully, using built-in data layer methods for standard calculations. Six analysis modules are provided, including Invariant Analysis, State-Space Analysis (deadlock, etc.), and Simulation Analysis and Classification. PIPE adheres to the XML Petri net standard (PNML). The file format for saving and loading Petri Nets is extensible through the use of XSLT, the default being PNML.
FlashBack is a flashcard scheduler based on a card review method described by Sebastian Leitner. It allows one to create and review simple (text only) flash cards. It supports Unicode and complex scripts (via Pango). A simple, tab-separated cardfile format is used allowing for editing the cards with a text editor (e.g., if you can't enter certain script in GTK+).
The HLA Standard Library was developed to support the High Level Assembler (HLA), but could be used with other assemblers or higher-level languages if the necessary headers were developed. It supports 32-bit versions of Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and FreeBSD, and is written entirely in HLA. repasa is a set of three kind of tools: For creation of contents directly in the XML format of repasa or in other file formats (DocBook and LaTeX) following some conventions, for checking the contents, and for studying the contents and registering progress. Mueller-dict is an electronic version of popular the English-Russian dictionary by professor V. K. Mueller in DICT format. It currently contains more than 50,000 articles and represents a full copy of the 7th edition of the mentioned dictionary, with some additions and corrections sourced from the more recent typographical editions. It includes phonetic transcription in the IPA (International Phonetic Association) system optimized for proper rendering on text terminals with standard Cyrillic fonts.
