VideoCache is a squid URL rewriter plugin written in Python that traps the requests to Squid for various audio/video Web sites and caches the audio/video in the local storage on a proxy server for serving subsequent requests for the same audio/video. It caches the audio/video independently of Squid's caching system. The cached files are stored in a browsable fashion.

PC/SC-Proxy allows for access to PC/SC daemons on remote machines. There are two use cases. It can be used with thin clients and a terminal server to make the session access readers connected to the thin client. In this case, the address of the remote PC/SC service is taken from the login information (utmp). The second use case is when applications running inside a virtual machine (e.g. VirtualBox) need access to card readers of the host machine without disturbing operations on the host itself.

It translates protocols between clients and servers, converting between IPv4 and IPv6, applying SSL (TLS) to arbitrary protocols, merging several servers into a single server view with aliasing and filtering. pwnat, pronounced "poe-nat", is a tool that allows any number of clients behind NAT gateways to communicate with a server behind a separate NAT with no port forwarding and no DMZ setup on any routers in order to directly communicate with each other. The server does not need to know anything about the clients trying to connect, nor does it need to communicate with any other hosts in order to initiate the communication. Simply put, this is a proxy server that works behind a NAT, even when the client is behind a NAT. There is no middle man, no proxy, no third party, no UPnP required, no spoofing, and no DNS tricks. More importantly, the client can then connect to any host or port on any remote host or to a fixed host and port decided by the server.

iconvircproxy is a proxy for IRC users who want to talk in different character set environments. It is especially suitable for European users who occasionally talk on Japanese channels. It requires a fully UTF-8 compatible IRC client, and can talk in ISO-8859-*, ISO-2022-JP, SHIFT-JIS, and UTF-8 encodings.
