Among its features are proactive database connection checking and reconnection, enhanced logging and security, and compile-on-the-fly HTML. Open 4GL WebServices is a wizard/procedure and a framework that makes it easy to publish PROGRESS procedures as Web services by generating the WSDL and WS code. It does not require the developer to learn XML or the framework itself and provides many choices for deploying the code.
