It has easy-to-use features for previously-made images that are meant to be CD covers. It has also some features for automatic cover creation from MP3 CDs, CDs with filesystems, and CDs with video files.
PostScript::CDCover generates a Postscript program that prints a CD cover and backlabel, with contents displayed as a tree of directories and files. The module ships with a stand-alone, ready-to-use script, pscdcover, that takes the directory tree of a CD-ROM as input and generates a cover from it. The output can be directly fed to a PostScript printer, but it is designed to be easily editable (should one wish to remove unwanted directory entries, for example).
The CUPS Driver Development Kit (DDK) provides a suite of standard drivers, a PPD file compiler, and other utilities that can be used to develop printer drivers for CUPS and other printing environments. CUPS provides a portable printing layer for Unix-based operating systems. The CUPS DDK provides the means for mass-producing PPD files and drivers/filters for CUPS-based printer drivers.
TFORMer is a versatile barcode label printing and reporting program. It provides a uniform solution for creating all types of documents like labels, forms, serial letters, lists, and reports. TFORMer is used on workstations, as a server-based output system or as a report generator SDK. Documents are created with the graphical layout editor TFORMer Designer. For printing purposes, data is entered manually or imported from databases or files. Templates for compliance labeling (e.g. AIAG, VDA, DHL, GS1, etc.) reduce design efforts significantly. For software developers, the output functionality is available with TFORMer Runtime. This cross-platform reporting SDK supports all types of barcodes, direct printing, PostScript, HTML, ZPL-II, and image and PDF creation. It integrates perfectly into client and server solutions. APIs are available for .NET, DLL, COM, and Java.

It is primarily intended for use as the "input filter" by the lpd print spooler. The options accepted by magicfilter are exactly the ones passed to the input filter by lpd.
GtkPSproc is a GUI frontend for PSUTILS. It allows you to adjust all programs to your printer type (for example, always sending the pages in reverse order), to group two or more pages on a single sheet, to print booklets, and to easily print in double-sided fashion. It is designed to work from nearly all programs that call LPR, acting as an intermediary between the program and LPR, but it can work alone, too.
