seaLISP is a Lisp interpreter with as many bells and whistles as possible but with absolutely no dependencies apart from the C++ standard library. The garbage collector, the computer algebra library, and all other components are written from scratch to be portable. It also has a PSP port with some primitives for graphics.
Arandomd is a network daemon that provides statistically tested output from a single ARC4 stream cipher generator to anyone able to connect to its listening TCP port. As multiple consumers cause it to reseed itself from a separate, strong random source, it is expected to produce consistently unpredictable results for cryptographic purposes. A configurable number of tests from the Statistical Test Suite for Random and Pseudorandom Number Generators must be passed before output data is sent to the client. It may be be useful in low-entropy environments, such as compute clouds, for generating high quality key material for strong cryptography.
parkverbot is a daemon that prevents hard disk head parking in rotational media. Modern rotational hard disks have a misfeature involving the regular automatic unloading of the heads, measurable by the SMART attribute "Load_Cycle_Count". This causes latency on wake-up amongst other issues (and it cannot always be turned off). The parkverbot daemon will periodically issue small read requests in order to keep the hardware from going to its head-unloaded idle state.
Ardpicprog is an Arduino-based solution for programming PIC microcontrollers from Microchip Technology Inc, such as the PIC16F84, PIC16F628A, PIC12F675, etc. The solution consists of a circuit that is built on one or more shields, a sketch that runs on the Arduino to directly interface to the PIC, and a host program to control the HEX file reading and writing process.
Runner is a simple and fast X11 menu for starting commands. It's meant to be a fast start menu for often used programs. It also contains a run dialog to enter arbitrary programs or select programs from a history file. It supports completion both from the history as well as the $PATH variable. It's also optimized for keyboard usage.
LIME is a dynamic programming language with a LISP-like syntax. It features partial function application, eager and lazy evaluation, call-by-value and call-by-reference, macros, reading/writing LIME code as data, a standard library including infinite streams, and an interactive mode with auto-indentation.
