OpenPOP.NET is a class library/component written in C# for communicating with POP3 servers and retreiving messages and attachments. It currently supports downloading attachemnts in the base64 encoding. It compiles on both Mono for Linux and and with the .NET framework.

Aspose.Network is a suite of .NET components for network programming with support for the .NET logging framework and Microsoft Exchange Server. It can read and write Outlook Message files and provides an iCalendar engine and SSL support for the SMTP, POP3, and IMAP protocols, with mail merging features.
