Acovel is a cross-platform media player (currently running on Linux and Windows). It features an intelligent algorithm that will analyze both ID3 (v1 ahd v2) tags and filenames to fill up its music collection database. Its search feature is very fast. It is currently limited to playing albums, but upcoming versions will make it a full-featured media player.

It features the usual basics needed to enjoy your files, including playing files from your hard drive or streaming from an URL, individual file play or multiple file looping play, sequential or random play, volume control that goes to 11, a visual song progress indicator, and more. RealPlayer plays streaming audio and video over the Internet in real-time. It plays RealAudio, RealVideo, MP3, 3GPP Video, Flash, SMIL 2.0, JPEG, GIF, PNG, RealPix, RealText, Ogg Vorbis, and Ogg Theora. It is available for Windows, Macintosh, Pocket PC, Nokia 9200 Series, Nokia 7650, Palm OS 5-based handhelds, Linux, Solaris, and many Unix variants.
1FCD-OpBSD (also known as Karma BSD) is a one-floppy OpenBSD MP3 player with functionality to mount NTFS, UDF (on DVD, CDROM, or external file), EXT2FS, NFS, MFS, and MSDOS file systems. It plays MP3 tracks, and can copy files from any disk to any disk. The software may be useful for the blind and it can also be used as a unique utility for copying files over a network (via NFS) or from any file system known to OpenBSD. USB sticks can be mounted as well. Static OpenBSD binaries can be made on other systems and used with Karma BSD.
streamiumd aims to be a simple-to-use, yet feature-rich daemon that runs on a server containing MP3s and M3U (playlist) files. It requires very little to get it running (Perl and MP3::Info), runs fast even on old machines, and allows your MP3 collection to be browsed from your Philips Streamium (tm) MC-i250 or MC-i200. It can serve to multiple devices simultaneously, has its own built-in HTTP daemon, can read HTTP URLs for Internet radio from M3U files, and can run on whatever port you choose.
YamiPod is an application to efficiently manage your iPod under Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux. It can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation. It also has extra features such as RSS news and podcast support, removal of duplicates, an easy note editor (with multi-page support), song synchronization, playlist export, and much more.
TinySID is a very small SID player. Current features include 99% 6510 CPU emulation and fat 6581 SID emulation including filters (which sound different to other players). It has nothing to do with other projects such as SIDPlay, and the 6510/6581 emulation is based on routines by Tammo Hinrichs that have been further developed.
