Savant is a powerful but lightweight PEAR-compliant template system for PHP. It is non-compiling, and uses PHP itself as its template language so you don't need to learn a new markup system. It has an object-oriented system of template plugins and output filters, so it sports almost all of the power of Smarty with almost none of the overhead.
phpMyDataGrid is a PHP class to display and edit records of a MySQL database table. Editing can be done via AJAX. It can display the contents of the records in an HTML table. The class can be configured to determine which fields of the database table are displayed. The HTML table displays the names of the fields in the header with links to set by which field the listing is sorted. The listing may also show links with icons to edit, insert, or delete database records, which can be easily hidden.
i18nHTML is a collection of scripts that can be used to write Web pages that visitors can translate into their respective native languages. It uses a database to match sentences from the Web page against translations and defines a set of PHP functions that generate either the translated HTML sentences or the original (typically English) text with decorations that allow users to provide translations. It requires that internationalized pages be written using the functions but does not constrain the page design in any way. Internationalized pages can be updated without losing existing translations for sentences that were not changed.
Class.Jabber.PHP is a class which you can use to connect to the Jabber network. It allows you to easily connect to a server and interact with it. It supports all packet types (message, iq, and presence), is very flexible, and offers both high-level methods (registration, message sending, etc.) and low-level methods (packet sending, etc.).
PHP SOAP Toolkit is a comprehensive SOAP library for PHP 5. It provides WSDL parsing and template-based code generation for client, server, and data types for contract-first Web services. It wraps the native PHP SOAP client and server, and uses WS-Helper to provide code-first Web services.
Japha is an effort to implement the major functionality of the Java library in PHP. The functionality captured in the JPI includes I/O, utility classes such as data structures, Web service architecture, and reflection classes, lang classes for implementing a standardized API, bean classes for creating a standard bean implementation, SQL classes for database persistence (via the Web service architecture), and database abstraction as well as Object-Relational mapping, networking functionality, and even some complex math.
