Gircap is a set of tools to help you use the widely unknown "capabilities" that Linux has in place of conventional Unix superuser privilege. That means you can give programs and processes only as much privilege as they need and greatly limit your security exposure due to system bugs. A Linux kernel patch fixes some basically broken aspects of capabilities. setcap and getcap let you set and show capabilities of a running process. capexec runs a program with certain capabilities, UID, GID, and supplemental GIDs. It can be used to have init start a daemon with only a subset of init's privileges. binfmt_capx is an executable interpreter in the form of a loadable kernel module. It lets you do a setuid kind of thing for files, only with fine grained capabilities. This is a cheap substitute for real "file capabilities."
Protector is an add-in for Sendmail and other Unix mail servers that strips attachments types that could contain viruses or other "active content" from incoming email. It works on the pessimistic but safe paradigm of only allowing specified attachment types through; all others are blocked.
PicoStreamer is a complete server for live audio/video streaming. It can stream MP3, AAC, and video live using Flash FLV. It does not require any Flash server. It only needs a Web server with Perl and PHP. It requires neither expensive dedicated servers nor compilation on the target machine. A source client (for Win32) is included. A management/playing framework written in PHP makes PicoStreamer simple to use. The PicoIcy component acts as a local shoutcast server emulator, so you can use your preferred shoutcast source client to stream or stream Flash format directly from the Web.

Krang SiteMap is a Krang add-on for generating robot-friendly sitemaps to aid in search engine optimization. It is designed to be easily integrated into existing Krang element libraries with minimal work. Creating and publishing a SiteMap story at the root category of a site will result in a minimally formatted story listing every published story on the site.
