Cajun is a program that allows you to turn any computer into a massive audio jukebox for your car or home. It uses LCD displays/keypads, and supports infrared remote controls. Soundcard output is delivered to your (car or home) stereo for amplification. The software supports a playlist and shuffle mode.
ctrlxmms is a small Perl script designed to increase the useability of XMMS. With it, you can use most of the common GUI functions of XMMS from the CLI. You also have a few handy commands which are not available from the GUI. Together with lirc and a remote (eg. Anir Multimedia Magic), this is a wonderful tool.

Gronk is a Web-based MP3 jukebox. It generates heavily-hyperlinked Web pages listing all of your ripped CDs, by extracting information from CDDB data. These Web pages allow easy selection of songs or albums to play, and when nothing has been explicitly selected, it selects songs randomly. Playback is done via either XMMS or mpg123.
LiMpOo is a multimedia player platform based on a Linux system using a Perl engine. It features playback of MP3 files (with playlists), CD audio (with CDDB lookup), and support for encoding, LCD, and IR. It uses MySQL for speed improvements. A PHP front-end helps to maintain all playlists.
