ACFTools is a utility for manipulating X-Plane flight simulator aircraft and weapon models without using its Plane Maker. It can decode both Apple and Intel ACF/WPN formats into plain text files with a syntax similar to C, which can be edited and then re-converted into binary data. It is able to extract almost complete 3D models of aircraft (fuselage, floats, tanks, wings, stabs, propellers, engines) and write it in AC3D modeler format. Edited 3D parts can then be merged into plain text and consequently converted into binary ACF files.
AI::GA implements a (hopefully) generalized genetic algorithm. It does this by using an array of allowed tokens as individuals. The user has to provide a fitness function. There, the actual representation is implemented. If you have a string of chars, you can simply join them. If you want to have real numbers, you should probably use a bitwise representation and calculate the real values in your fitness function.
The Alamin GSM SMS Gateway is a group of daemons that allows you to send/receive SMS messages from any GSM device that supports AT+ commands (GSM modems or GSM mobile phones) or supported by Gnokii. A client program allows you to send messages from any IP client. An SMTP interface is provided to allow MTAs to send SMS directly to the GSM network. IMP (Incoming Message Processor) modules allows you to extend functionality to implement banking, network administration, bd querys, etc. from a GSM mobile phone.
Algorithm::Evolutionary is a flexible set of classes for doing evolutionary computation in Perl, integrated with XML for evolutionary algorithm description. So far, it contains classes for doing string, tree, and vector array-based evolutionary computation, several variation operators, and simple population-level algorithms. It has been distributed algorithms using SOAP, and integrated with the DBI and HTML::Mason libraries. It contains an XML dialect for definition of evolutionary algorithms, called EvoSpec; experiments defined using Algorithm::Evolutionary can be completely serialized/deserialized using this language.
The Astro::ADS module is an OO Perl interface to the Astrophysics Data System (ADS) abstract service. The ADS is a NASA-funded project whose main resource is an Abstract Service, which includes four sets of abstracts: astronomy and astrophysics, instrumentation, physics and geophysics, and Los Alamos preprint server.
Astro::Aladin is a an object-oriented interface into the resources provided by the CDS Aladin project. The Aladin Java application is driven in script mode using an anonymous pipe, while high level access to resources is provided by the module which disguises the mechanics of the data access.
