XAO Content adds dynamic content capabilities to XAO::Web-based projects. It allows a project administrator to edit content, preview new content in the context of the final site, and then publish all changes at once or individually. The content is stored in a database, and a caching mechanism is used to speed up access.
The HTML::Defaultify Perl module is designed to allow CGI programmers to present forms with some fields filled in, which is handy for letting users correct bad input, show records to be edited, and much more. The main function, defaultify(), takes any block of HTML and a hash of field names and values, and returns the HTML with the form fields set to those values. Value lists for multiple same-named fields are supported, as are pages with multiple forms. Several different input formats are supported for compatibility with existing tools.
The Apache::FileManager module is a simple HTML file manager. It provides file manipulations such as cut, copy, paste, delete, rename, extract archive, create directory, create file, edit file, and upload files. It also has the ability to rsync the server htdocs tree to another server with the click of a button.
VideoGuide is a Web interface for video libraries. It can parse directories cotaining movies and insert them into its database, and then modify, display, or delete movie information, link actors, directors, and writers with movies, and grab information about specified movies from IMDB.com.
fastcgi-gallery is a Web gallery based on Apache::Gallery, but is hacked for usage with Perl FastCGI scripts. Therefore, this version is about 10x quicker (with cache turned on) than Apache::Gallery. With the best template system (Template-Toolkit) you can customize your gallery as you wish; for example, you can create a multi-language gallery. A database is not used; everything is stored in files. Output and generated thumbnails are cached for speed optimization.
