ADMLogger is a log analyzing engine. Using this core, users could easily build upon it with plugins. With very little Perl programming knowledge, it may become a powerful tool in a System Administrator's toolbox. ADMLogger creates email reports that can be formatted plain text or full HTML, which is up to the plugin designers to support. The main system has an HTML preference, so if your plugin ignores it, so be it. ADMLogger will also remove all filtered entries from the main syslog file into a second file so your other entries are more noticable.
MRTG::Parse is a Perl extension that enables its users to parse and utilize the logfiles that are generated by the famous MRTG (Multi Router Traffic Grapher) tool. It's able to parse the total incoming and outgoing traffic of the current day, month, or year. Since version 0.03, it can also handle individual time periods to calculate the traffic that was generated between two dates.
Zero RRD Framework provides a central HTTP-based service for importing into standard RRD databases and for generating graphs. A lightweight, easily extendable agent for the data sources pushes updates with minimal resource consumption to the master service using HTTP. With the introduction of VMs for the service, it's easy to test-drive the application and even the architecture (connecting agents to the service in the VM).
