txt2pdf PRO is a very flexible and powerfu program that converts files from text to PDF format. It extends txt2pdf with features such as the ability to add form feeds, to skip the first form feed, to set the top and left margins, to use images (JPEGs) in the background, and to create compressed PDFs.
GPLIGC is a program for analyzing IGC flight data from GNSS flight data recorders used by glider pilots. It uses Perl/Tk and gnuplot. The openGLIGCexplorer (written in C++) allows one to view the data in 3D with OpenGL, and can also be used as a digital elevation model terrain viewer. It can also be used for off-screen rendering of 2D and 3D images of flight tracks or terrain/map data.
Gpsdrive is a map-based navigation system. It displays your position on a zoomable map provided from a NMEA-capable GPS receiver. The maps are autoselected for the best resolution, depending of your position, and the displayed image can be zoomed. Maps can be downloaded from the Internet with one mouse click. The program provides information about speed, direction, bearing, arrival time, actual position, and target position. Speech output is also available.
Condorcet with Dual Dropping is a ranking system for deciding single or multi-winner contests (elections) using voted preference (or approval) ballot list or pairwise tally matrix. It computes the Cloneproof Schwartz Sequential Dropping (CSSD) and Tideman's Ranked Pair (RP) results for each contest round, and selects the combined CSSD and RP outcome with the lowest overall dropping cost. There are options to compute just the CSSD, RP, or Minimum Dropping Cost outcome, various optional pair rank and winner tie-breakers, and alternative measures of dropping cost (winning votes and/or margin). It comes as a console program and CGI executable.
Chimera is a very small and nimble Web/gopher browser created using athena widgets. The original (1.x series) version has very restricted copyright (University of Ilinnois). The 2.0beta release is available under the GNU Public License. Chimera is capable of HTML 3.2, displaying a lot of graphics, and is very accurate about HTML syntax. Future releases may include security updates, bugfixes, and feature changes (e.g. gtk support, frames support, etc.).
Archiv-G is an Internet-capable document archive and form center. It keeps all documents in one database. For very simple TeX documents, no client software apart from a normal Web browser is needed. To edit more complex documents, a checkout or checkin should be done to use the preferred TeX editing tools. The TeX source of all TeX documents can be viewed and edited with a Web browser. PDF or Postscript can be generated on the fly. Microsoft Word and Excel documents are supported through a plugin which stores the original document and a plain-text version.
