Bayonne is the telephony server of the GNU project. It offers a script-driven threaded multi-line state event telephony service on GNU/Linux, xBSD, and Microsoft Windows for building voice response systems, and uses telephony plugins for runtime driver configuration. It also features "TGI" for making Perl applications "telephony aware". It may be used to build telephony-based system administration, home automation, automated attendant, v-commerce, and voice messaging systems.
yplot is an interface to the PLPlot plotting library written as an extension of yorick. This combination allows one to quickly and easily create high-quality scientific plots from data, even in large structured files. yplot implements 2D line and scatter plots, contour plots, 3D surface, mesh and scatter and line plots. The user is given full control over every aspect of the plot, including symbol types, line types, label placement, fonts, etc. The results can therefore be made suitable for high-quality scientific presentation. A 60 page Postscript tutorial is included with examples and a reference section.
LILO-Splash-Screen Script-Fu is a script for the GIMP which helps you create fancy splash screens for use with LILO (and the boot-logo patch). It converts an RGB image to an indexed one, selecting appropriate colors for the image and a special region of interest (the current selection) where the boot menu shall reside. This is done by first duplicating the selection and its inversion, converting both to indexed images, then adding a modified color palette (ADD/SUB) required for the menu bar, and finally recombining all palette colors into a single 256 color palette.
Ch is an embeddable C/C++ interpreter for cross-platform scripting, shell programming, 2D/3D plotting, numerical computing, and embedded scripting. It is the simplest solution to numerical computing and visualization in the domain of C/C++. It supports the ISO 1990 C Standard (C90), major features in C99 (complex numbers, variable length arrays or VLAs, type generic functions, long long data type, etc), classes in C++, and extensions to the C language like nested functions, string types, etc. It can be embedded in other applications and hardware and used as a scripting language. C/C++ code is interpreted directly with no compilation to intermediate code. It supports Linux, Windows, MacOS X, Solaris, HP-UX, and FreeBSD.
Audiality is a highly scalable and portable audio engine and synthesizer. MIDI files are used in combination with scripting and modular synthesis, to minimize file sizes and maximize flexibility. Audiality can be used as a music and sound effects player in multimedia productions, or as a realtime MIDI synthesizer.
tvrec tools is a set of scripts for controlling an alternative capture-script to record TV with a Linux system. These shell scripts, together with some other standard Linux programs, allow you to trigger recording, view recording status, and delete the whole recording queue via email or SMS (short message service).
