CTL is a cross-platform control dispatching tool that makes it easy to automate any kind of distributed systems management or application provisioning task. Rather than writing complex and error-prone scripts that over utilize "for loops", CTL handles the network dispatching for you and allows you to focus on the actual management tasks you need to accomplish. In addition to being a dispatching tool, CTL comes with pre-built cross-platform utilities so you don't have to script actions like file distribution or process and port checking. You can also write your own custom utilities and share them with others in your organization. Custom utilities are defined in XML, and your scripting can be done in multiple scripting languages (Perl, Python, etc.), *nix shell, Windows batch, and/or Ant.
PrinterSetup is a flexible printer setup system. It is tailored to institutions with more than 20 deployed printers. It is designed to work with CUPS on Mac OS X. PrinterSetup is a component of PrintingWorks, a print accounting solution. There is limited documentation. Apple package deployment requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and is untested on earlier versions. Apple package development requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and Xcode 3.0 or later.
KScannerButtons is a daemon plus an optional KDE frontend for monitoring your scanner buttons so that actions can be taken in response to button presses. It's composed of a daemon (sanebuttond), a frontend that will display an icon in the systray, and a dialog box to configure and launch the daemon. It is based on the button monitoring capabilities found in some SANE backends. It has been tested with the avision backend and an HP 5300C scanner. The frontend requires Kommander (kde-webdev).
fpcbol is a desktop user interface written for children and people who want simplicity and speed. It is designed to be as beautiful and simple as possible. It has no menus, just icons to click. It features parental control for children. It has been tested successfully on Debian, Mandriva, and Gentoo. It works well on computers with low system resources (such as a 500Mhz Pentium). 3D acceleration is necessary for the optional transparency feature.
Set-cd-rom-speed is an application for setting CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drive speed, written with KDE Kommander. Fast CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives have one big disadvantage over older and slower models in that they are often quite loud because of the disk spinning very fast in the drive. Using set-cd-rom-speed, you can decrease the drive's speed and thus reduce the annoying noise.
L2J is an alternate game server for Lineage2. The L2 protocol is reimplemented in the server, so you can play with this server without any modifications to the client (except changing the server IP address). The latest USA live client version is always supported, so don't expect this server to work with the PTS/Korean client.
etherdam is an IPTables firewall configuration engine. It implements a primitive (and hopefully simple) scripting language as an alternative to the direct use of iptables. It comes with full documentation plus a heavily-commented example config file. The config file should work for many scenarios with minimal adjustment.
