fio is an I/O tool meant to be used both for benchmark and stress/hardware verification. It has support for 13 different types of I/O engines (sync, mmap, libaio, posixaio, SG v3, splice, null, network, syslet, guasi, solarisaio, and more), I/O priorities (for newer Linux kernels), rate I/O, forked or threaded jobs, and much more. It can work on block devices as well as files. fio accepts job descriptions in a simple-to-understand text format. Several example job files are included. fio displays all sorts of I/O performance information, including complete IO latencies and percentiles. Fio is in wide use in many places, for both benchmarking, QA, and verification purposes. It supports Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OS X, OpenSolaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Windows.
British bingo runs in your browser and uses 3 by 9 boards. The game simulates the other players. Players make mistakes and chat. Players leave, join, and re-join between and during games. You can have over 10,000 players. You can hear the players and the caller talk. You can change the sizes to fit a small screen
cmus is a small, fast, and powerful console music player for Linux and *BSD. It supports almost all common file formats, SHOUTcast/Icecast streaming, and multiple output plugins. cmus features multiple media library views, a playqueue, a directory browser, powerful filters, and vi-style search and keybindings. It also features gapless playback, ReplayGain, Unicode support, and customizable color schemes.
tsdecrypt reads an incoming MPEG transport stream over UDP/RTP and then decrypts it using keys obtained from OSCAM or a similar CAM server. Currently supported crypto systems are Conax, Cryptoworks, Irdeto, Viaccess, Mediaguard (Seca), Videoguard (NDS), Nagra, DRE-Crypt, and Bulcrypt. BISS and constant code words are also supported. tsdecrypt communicates with a CAM server using the cs378x (camd35 over TCP) protocol or the newcamd protocol.
foma is a compiler, programming language, and C library for constructing finite-state automata and transducers for various uses. It has specific support for many natural language processing applications such as producing morphological analyzers. Although NLP applications are probably the main use of foma, it is sufficiently generic to use for a large number of purposes. It comes with an xfst-compatible interface and regular expression language. The library contains efficient implementations of all classical automata/transducer algorithms: determinization, minimization, epsilon-removal, composition, and boolean operations. More advanced construction methods are also available: context restriction, quotients, first-order regular logic, transducers from replacement rules, etc.
Open Broadcast Encoder (OBE) allows you to replace expensive hardware broadcast encoders with low-cost commodity hardware. Powered by the high quality x264 encoder, you can have full control over your encode chain with compatibility with all industry standards and practices. OBE can handle all your Video-on-Demand and realtime needs.
Trek is both a Web browser and a new kind of social network. It allows its users to meet and interact by overlaying the Web with graphical avatars. Said avatars represent each user on a given page and can be moved freely about the content. Users can form parties or "browsing treks" and move about the Web in a group.
Adjector is a lightweight, fast, and flexible, open-source ad server. It serves plain text, HTML, and Javascript ads to your Web application in several different ways, even from a separate machine. It tracks views and clicks. It is designed to save you time and effort and to stay out of your way.
