EncFS is an encrypted pass-through filesystem which runs in userspace on Linux (using the FUSE kernel module). Similar in design to CFS and other pass-through filesystems, all data is encrypted and stored in the underlying filesystem. Unlike loopback filesystems, there is no predetermined or pre-allocated filesystem size.
The Apache Traffic Server (TS or ATS) is a modular, high-performance reverse proxy server, generally comparable to Squid. It was created by Inktomi, and distributed as a commercial product called the Inktomi Traffic Server, before Inktomi was acquired by Yahoo!. Traffic Server has been actively used inside of Yahoo for over 4 years, serving billions of requests every day. As of fall 2009, Traffic Server is an Open Source project, and in April 2010 the Apache Traffic Server was promoted to a top-level project of the ASF.
Eero is a binary-compatible variant of Objective-C 2.0, implemented with a patched version of the Clang/LLVM compiler. It features a streamlined syntax with improved readability and reduced code clutter, as well as new features such as Python-like indentation and a limited form of operator overloading. It is inspired by languages such as Smalltalk and Ruby.
The Graphical Models Toolkit (GMTK) is a toolkit for rapidly prototyping statistical models using dynamic graphical models (DGMs) and dynamic Bayesian networks (DBNs). It can be used for speech and language processing, bioinformatics, activity recognition, and any time series application. It features exact and approximate inference, many built-in factors including dense, sparse, and deterministic conditional probability tables, native support for ARPA backoff-based factors and factored language models, parameter sharing, gamma and beta distributions, dense and sparse Gaussian factors, heterogeneous mixtures, deep neural network factors, and time-inhomogeneous trellis factors, arbitrary order embedded Markov chains, a GUI graph viewer, and much more.
VoltDB is a blazingly fast relational database system. It is specifically designed to run on modern scale-out architectures: fast, inexpensive servers connected via high-speed data networks. It is aimed at a new generation of database applications - real-time feeds, sensor-driven data streams, micro-transactions, low-latency trading systems - requiring database throughput that can reach millions of operations per second. What’s more, the applications that use this data must scale on demand, provide flawless fault tolerance, and enable real-time visibility into the data that drives business value. It includes client application drivers for applications written in Java, C++, C#, PHP, and Python. VoltDB community members have also authored client libraries for Erlang, Ruby and Node.js. There are streaming export capabilities for leading analytic database environments, including Apache Hadoop.
