A practical lambda-calculator is a normal-order evaluator for the untyped lambda-calculus, extended with convenient commands and shortcuts to make programming in it more productive. Shortcuts are distinguished constants that represent terms. Commands define new shortcuts, activate tracing of all reductions, compare terms modulo alpha-conversion, print all defined shortcuts and evaluation flags, etc. Terms to evaluate and commands are entered at a read-eval-print-loop (REPL) "prompt" or "included" from a file by a special command. A Haskell branch is an embedding of the lambda calculator (as a domain-specific language) into Haskell. The calculator can be used interactively within Hugs or GHCi.
WilmaScope is a Java3D application that creates real-time 3D animations of dynamic graph (network) structures. It comes with a number of layout algorithm plugins, and supports the easy creation of plugins for new layout algorithms. 3D geometries for graph element glyphs and algorithms for graph generation and modification are loaded dynamically as plugins, providing an extremely flexible platform for all manner of graph visualisation applications. The system has been applied with considerable success to a number of graph visualisation problems.
pyprof is a wrapper around python's profile module for easily profiling python scripts without having to specify the whole path to them if they are in $PATH. By implementing certain interfaces, a user can very easily add his/her own filter to the current set of provided filters. Examples of filters are spam control, size restrictions, etc. JFetch downloads the email if it matches the criteria and then can deliver it using one of its delivery options.
