Phone It In is a very simple North American phone number data entry helper for HTML forms written in JavaScript. The idea is to provide useful assistance without getting in the way and without any kind of excessive cleverness which will be likely to break in new or untested browsers. Many other phone number data entry helpers act as in-place templates, enforcing format with every character typed and automatically filling in parentheses and dashes. It is very hard to implement this reliably, and at the same time, it can break users' expectations of what they should be able to do with an input on a form, such as paste in a value. This helper takes a different approach and opens a helper next to the input which dynamically shows what the formatted phone number will look, whether there are any problems, and whether entry is complete. Upon leaving the input, the value is reformatted to standard.

JS Diff Viewer is a library that can find and view the difference between two text strings. It takes two text strings, uses the diff algorithm to find the differences between them, and returns a list of changes to patch the original string to become the final string. The patch list shows which characters are added or removed to change one string into the other. The difference between the text strings may be computed in three modes: by character, by word or by line. The object can also format the strings to view them as HTML, showing which characters are added and removed with special insertion and deleted styles. The example page works as a tool to interactively view the changes as the user changes the texts before and after the changes are applied.
