Hodie prints the current date and time to stdout in Roman numerals, with grammatically correct Latin. Complete with Id., Kal., Non., pridie, postridie, bis, and all the other nice annoyances. As an option, it even provides you with current date according to Roman calendar -- that is 'ab urbe condita'; after Rome was built.
Statist is a statistics program with an interactive menu that makes it very easy to use. It can also be run in scripts, and large data sets are handled reasonably well even on small machines. In spite of its low overhead, it can do quite a few regression functions and tests. It can produce colorized output, and uses gnuplot to create graphics.
Chump is a table-driven assembler and dissembler with a very fast new architecture input format. Both the assembler and disassembler are created using a single description. It comes with descriptions for ARM, MIPS, Stump, and 6809. It is intended for use as a library compiled with other programs to allow line assembly and disassembly.
NOVAS (Naval Observatory Vector Astrometry Subroutines) is an integrated package of subroutines for the computation of a wide variety of common astrometric quantities and transformations. It can provide the instantaneous coordinates (apparent, topocentric, or astrometric place) of any star or planet, and also provides general astrometric utility transformations, such as those for precession, nutation, aberration, parallax, etc. It is useful for data reduction programs, telescope control systems, and simulations.
Ellogon is a multi-lingual, cross-platform, general-purpose language engineering environment, developed in order to aid both researchers who are doing research in computational linguistics, as well as companies who produce and deliver language engineering systems. As a language engineering platform, it offers an extensive set of facilities, including tools for processing and visualising textual/HTML/XML data and associated linguistic information, support for lexical resources (like creating and embedding lexicons), tools for creating annotated corpora, accessing databases, comparing annotated data, or transforming linguistic information into vectors for use with various machine learning algorithms.
