dl is a file exchange service that allows you to upload any file to a Web server and generate a unique ticket for others to download. The ticket is automatically expired according to the specified rules, so that you don't need to keep track or cleanup afterward. dl also allows you to grant an anonymous, one-time upload for others to send you a file, without the requirement of account management. dl is usually installed as a replacement for email attachments due to its simplicity (though it can be used in other ways).

Crypt::IDA is a Perl module that implements Rabin's Information Dispersal Algorithm. This is what's known as a "threshold system": a secret is divided into n shares with the property that any k (the "quorum" or "threshold") of those shares (with k <= n) can be combined at a later time to reconstruct the secret. The algorithm should be cryptographically secure in the sense that if fewer shares than the quorum k are presented, no information about the secret is revealed. The module uses Math::FastGF2 to efficiently implement the algorithm, making it suitable for securely sharing and distributing even large files. The Crypt::IDA::ShareFile module implements a file format for creating, storing, and distributing shares created with Crypt::IDA.
MiniIM is multi-protocol instant messaging client. It is based on J2ME and thus targets the MIDP2 supported platforms (commonly found in the mobile devices). It is inspired by the popular Pidgin (Gaim) program. The design is concentrated on the protocol level abstraction and an easy way to integrate new protocol implementations. The interface design is unaware of the underlying protocols.
