UCS is a reliable, pre-configured Linux server operating system featuring: Active Directory-like domain services compatible with Microsoft Active Directory; a mature and easy-to-use Web-based management system for user, rights, and infrastructure management; a scalable underlying concept suited for single server scenarios as well as to run and manage thousands of clients and servers for thousands of users within one single UCS domain; an app center providing single-click installation and integration of many business applications from 3rd parties and Univention; management capabilities to manage Linux- and UNIX-based clients; and command line, scripting interfaces, and APIs for automatization and extension. Its purpose is to provide Microsoft Server-like services on the cloud or on the premises, to run and operate corporate IT environments with Windows- and Linux-based clients, and to extend those environments with proven enterprise software.
JXTA technology is a set of open protocols that allow any connected device on the network ranging from cell phones and wireless PDAs to PCs and servers to communicate and collaborate in a P2P manner. JXTA peers create a virtual network where any peer can interact with other peers and resources directly even when some of the peers and resources are behind firewalls and NATs or are on different network transports. The project goals are interoperability across different peer-to-peer systems and communities, platform independence, multiple/diverse languages, systems, and networks, and ubiquity: every device with a digital heartbeat.
BitTorrent Queue Manager is a console-based BitTorrent client running on top of BitTornado that provides built-in queue management functions. It also provides a remote interface compatible with ABC for Web-based control. Furthermore, peer information can be queried, including country and network names, and a built-in crawler can gather new torrents on specified trackers or catalog sites for downloading automatically.
weta-dfs is a distributed file system. It is designed to be fail-safe through replications of files, fast and easy to install, platform independent, and to have fast recovery from crashes. It consists of Data Node Servers and one Meta Data Server and a java.io.File-like client API.
