It can find the latest versions of numerous kernel trees, calculate which patches are needed to move to that version, download any patches or tarballs that aren't cached, check GPG signatures where available, and apply and unapply patches to get the desired result.

cvsfs4hurd is a translator for the GNU Hurd which allows a user to "mount" a CVS module into the local filesystem. It allows the user to view version controlled files as if they were regular files on disk. Either the CVS pserver or the :ext:-way method is used to connect.

F-Watch is a kernel module that reports changes on files to /dev/fwatch. It hooks into the sys_calls and does not require a kernel patch. To activate watching for certain events, users need to run ioctl to register the wanted events; examples are in the src dir. Ioctl can be used during runtime to individually change the required events.
