Linux NTFS provides Linux kernel drivers, a multiplatform NTFS library, and tools to create, resize, clone, rescue, query, label and fix NTFS volumes, and to undelete, resize, list, and query files for the filesystem used by Windows XP, 2003, 2000, NT4, and Vista. It also provides support for the Logical Disk Manager (LDM) that controls Windows' Dynamic Disks and is used to create software mirrors, stripes, and RAID.
Tin Hat is a Linux distribution derived from hardened Gentoo. It aims to provide a very secure, stable, and fast desktop environment that lives purely in RAM. Tin Hat boots from CD, or optionally USB pen drive, but it is not a LiveCD in that it does not mount any file system from the boot device. Rather, Tin Hat employs a massive squashfs image which expands into tmpfs upon booting. This makes for long boot times, but remarkable speeds during human-computer interaction.
Linux graphical bootsplash allows you to use custom graphics during early system startup. It makes it possible to place a nice graphic behind or above the kernel boot messages. It hooks into the fbcon layer and, if activated, searches the initial ramdisk for a JPEG picture to show. On any output operations to the console, it takes care of painting a margin around your text and a background picture behind the text with a set of special cfb functions.
GNUSTEP Live CD contains a lot of software for GNUstep, a free implementation of the OPENSTEP framework (which is also directly used in Mac OS X as Cocoa). It includes excellent applications for RAD (GORM and ProjectCenter). The CD is available for i486, AMD64, Apple Mac PowerPC, and Sun UltraSPARC computers.
Toorox is a Linux live DVD based on Gentoo which starts as bootable media using KNOPPIX technology. It is designed for ease of use, with a simple control center and a hard disk installer. It contains many applications and uses KDE, GNOME, or XFCE as a working environment. A live USB pen drive image maker is also present on the desktop. It is multi-lingual and contains the unstable branch of Gentoo (x86 and amd64).
OpenThinClient is a thin client solution consisting of a Linux-based operating system along with a comprehensive Java-based management GUI and server component. It is intended for environments where a medium to large number of thin clients must be supported and managed efficiently.
Raven's System Stats allows users to collect detailed information about an operating system, including kernel architecture, distro, operating system, kernel version, glibc version, name of login shell, number of CPUs, CPU description, hyperthreading support, CPU MHz, CPU cache, bogomips, used and total RAM, used and total swap, filesystem size and type, uptime, unique users logged in, total login shells, currently running processes, total processes since bootup, load average, X resolution, and the number of X servers running.
