DansGuardian is a Web content filtering proxy that uses Squid to do all the fetching. It filters using multiple methods including, but not limited to, phrase matching, file extension matching, MIME type matching, PICS filtering, and URL/domain blocking. It has the ability to switch off filtering by certain criteria including username, domain name, source IP, etc. The configurable logging produces a log in an easy to read format. It has the option to only log text-based pages, thus significantly reducing redundant information (such as every image on a page).
DarkIce is a live audio streamer. It records audio from an audio interface (e.g. a sound card), encodes it, and sends it to a streaming server. DarkIce can record from OSS audio devices, ALSA audio devices, Solaris audio interfaces, and Jack sources. DarkIce can encode into MP3, MP2, Ogg Vorbis, and AAC formats, and can send the encoded stream to ShoutCast, IceCast 1.3.x and 2.x, and the Darwin Streaming Server.
Darkbot is a very fast and small IRC bot written in C. Originally created as an aid for help channels to answer repeated questions from its virtually unlimited database, it has became a very popular talking robot in a generic sense, being used all over IRC networks for different purposes and in 18 languages. Data can be added to it and managed dynamically online or edited in its database files offline. An extensive but easy-to-understand list of commands and features, including some channel operation functions and levels of protection, makes Darkbot a very flexible but somehow powerful and complex robot, with almost human conversations and reactions.
Dispatch Software is a Web-based dispatch system that makes it easy to keep track of your vehicles and what they will be doing each day. It allows you to export the daily schedule to a printable spreadsheet file for your drivers to take on the road. All units can be viewed on one page for faster scheduling. Dispatch drivers can view their schedules ahead of time for better planning and time management.
Dnsmasq is a lightweight, easy to configure DNS forwarder and DHCP server. It is designed to provide DNS and (optionally) DHCP to a small network. It can serve the names of local machines which are not in the global DNS. The DHCP server integrates with the DNS server and allows machines with DHCP-allocated addresses to appear in the DNS with names configured either in each host or in a central configuration file. Dnsmasq supports static and dynamic DHCP leases and BOOTP/TFTP for network booting of diskless machines.
DynaFabric is an SSH-based command dispatching and systems management framework, designed for easy implementation on existing networks. It allows you to configure SSH key based authentication and centrally dispatch commands, manage installed software, maintain services, and enforce policies across your systems. It is designed to be platform agnostic; support is being developed for FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris 10, Solaris 11, and Illumos.
ECe is another clone of the ncurses-based editor that comes with the Midnight Commander (cooledit). Its main feature is simplicity. You don't have to learn lots of key shortcuts; in order to write text, you just have to type it on the keyboard. While preserving all the original cooledit features (like syntax highlighting or gpm mouse support), ECe offers a few useful enhancements: the ability to work with many files, reconfigurable keys and menus, tab-completion in file dialogs, friendlier default color scheme, and more.
EQEMu EverQuest Server Emulation Project is a project designed to fully emulate the EverQuest servers for use with the EverQuest(tm) client. This allows users to use their EverQuest(tm) client to connect to "unofficial" servers or to run their own EverQuest(tm) server. It is currently being developed for multiple platforms.
